Lead the end-to-end delivery of large EPC/turnkey transmission projects, ensuring delivery to scope, schedule, budget, and customer expectations
Lead and inspire large, multidisciplinary project teams across Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Finance, EHS, Quality, and Contracts
Build and manage strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment and effective communication throughout
Provide strong leadership across construction, installation, and commissioning phases, ensuring safe and efficient site execution
Own project financial performance, including cost control, forecasting, margin protection, and reporting
Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks; manage contractual claims and drive resolution of issues
Ensure all project activities are clearly defined, scheduled, and delivered in line with contractual milestones
Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring EHS is embedded in all project decisions and execution strategies
Champion a culture of quality excellence by embedding quality requirements into all project decisions, ensuring deliverables meet contractual specifications, and driving continuous improvement through effective non-conformance management and compliance with GE Vernova's Quality Management System.
Contribute to tender validation by reviewing delivery models, risks, and commercial commitments
Requirements
Significant experience delivering transmission projects within the UK
Strong understanding of UK regulations, standards, and construction delivery practices
Experience through working on Grid substations with major UK network operators such as National Grid, SSE, or UK Power Networks
Strong construction experience
Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
Substantial experience managing large-scale, complex projects within infrastructure, energy, or transmission sectors
Proven track record of leading high-value EPC or turnkey projects
Strong experience in construction, installation, and commissioning phases
Demonstrated ability to lead large, multidisciplinary teams and influence senior stakeholders
Strong commercial and financial acumen
Experience managing risk, contracts, and claims
Experience working in complex, multi-interface environments (international experience desirable)
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and analytical skills
Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
