Role Overview
Own projects end-to-end with clarity, technical excellence, and accountability, ensuring high-quality standards across teams.
Act as a bar raiser, elevating quality and coding standards, promoting engineering excellence, and driving continuous improvement.
Design, implement, and maintain efficient and reliable automated tests across frontend and backend using Playwright and TypeScript.
Think strategically about test automation; collaborate with developers to ensure balanced test coverage within the testing pyramid.
Contribute to and evolve the overall testing strategy, improving QA processes and metrics.
Prepare and review test plans to validate both functional and non-functional requirements.
Perform manual and exploratory testing; document, track, and verify defects to ensure product excellence.
Analyze test results and monitor key testing metrics to identify patterns and opportunities for improvement.
Participate actively in project kick-offs to understand requirements, anticipate risks, and influence testability from the earliest stages.
Advocate for user experience and product quality, collaborating closely with product, design, and engineering to align QA goals with delivery outcomes.
Identify and communicate issues, risks, or dependencies early, escalating to product leadership when necessary.
Mentor and support teammates, fostering an open, empathetic environment that encourages learning, feedback, and high-quality automation practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience as a QA Engineer.
3+ years of proven experience in test automation across frontend and backend using Playwright.
Strong proficiency in TypeScript with experience building scalable, maintainable automation frameworks.
Comprehensive knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions).
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align across technical and product teams.
High attention to detail, confidence in execution, and a strong motivation to contribute to organizational growth in a high-performing environment.
Experience in defining and driving test automation standards across teams.
Experience mentoring QA engineers in test design, coding practices, and quality ownership.
