Role Overview

• Interprets spoken passages from one language into another
• In consecutive interpreting listens to complete statements in one language
• Responds to all customers, sets priorities, gives reports and maintains confidentiality
• Provides information, education and technical assistance for customers
• Maintains positive working relations with all customers and peers
• Works to improve as a professional through attendance at staff meetings

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in related field of study preferred
• One (1) year directly related work experience preferred
• Proficiency in speaking English and second language
• Proficiency in English and reading, writing a second language
• Achievement of a passing score on a language proficiency test
• Basic computer skills
• Knowledge of medical terminology
• Preferred
