Lead and mature the cloud cost optimization initiatives
Serve as a subject matter expert, partnering with engineering, finance, and procurement teams
Drive advanced financial accountability, architect cloud efficiency solutions, and develop sophisticated forecasting models
Proactively identify opportunities, influence strategic decisions, and mentor others in FinOps best practices
Monitor cloud usage across AWS and MS Azure; analyze spending patterns and identify cost-saving opportunities
Implement strategies such as rightsizing, reserved instances, savings plans, and storage/network optimization
Develop and maintain dashboards to visualize cloud spend across teams and business units
Build and maintain financial models to forecast cloud spend and track against budget
Create executive-level reporting that connects cloud economics to business outcomes
Partner with Finance to develop cost allocation methodologies and bridge technical-financial gaps
Enhance data pipelines with validation checks and anomaly detection
Automate reporting and cost optimization alerts
Administer cloud cost management platforms and tagging/governance programs
Work closely with Cloud Engineers, Architects, and Procurement to align cloud strategy with business goals
Mentor and coach team members on FinOps principles and cloud cost best practices
Influence engineering teams through clear communication of cost concepts and optimization strategies

Requires a Bachelor's degree
2 – 4 years of related experience
equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position
