About this role
Role Overview
Oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of TRHT Center programs.
Plan and manage logistics for events, retreats, and community dialogues.
Lead regular assessment of program outcomes and implement data-informed improvements.
Design, implement, and lead training initiatives on Rx Racial Healing and related topics.
Create and deliver workshops, healing circles, seminars, and dialogues.
Build relationships with external facilitators and subject-matter experts.
Develop and support a trainers’ network/community of practice.
Enhance awareness and participation in TRHT initiatives across Duke.
Serve as a liaison with local, regional, and national organizations.
Maintain relationships with faculty, students, alumni, and external partners.
Collaborate with the Director and stakeholders on long-term TRHT strategy.
Identify new programming and partnership opportunities.
Integrate emerging racial justice and healing trends.
Support budget management for TRHT programs.
Track program milestones, deliverables, and documentation.
Assist with grants, funding applications, and reporting.
Contribute to writing and editing materials including articles, monographs, newsletters, and web content.
Supervise and mentor students, interns, and volunteers.
Lead recruitment and onboarding for student and volunteer roles.
Provide leadership skill development and mentoring.
Travel as needed to represent TRHT in meetings, conferences, and presentations.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Master’s degree or equivalent experience in fields such as Social Justice, Racial/Ethnic Studies, or Community Engagement.
Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible experience in program management, training, or racial justice work.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
Strong organizational and project management abilities.
Knowledge of racial justice, community organizing, and social change practices (preferred).
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans (preferred).
Experience supervising students, interns, or volunteers (preferred).
Familiarity with academic environments (preferred).
Experience in program assessment and data-informed decision-making (preferred).
Ability to work independently and collaboratively (preferred).
Strong professional network in racial justice and healing spaces (preferred).
Demonstrated intercultural competence (preferred).
Grant writing or fundraising experience (preferred).
