You’ll manage and oversee daily labor compliance activities across assigned projects, ensuring adherence to state and federal prevailing wage laws, including the California Labor Code and the Federal Davis-Bacon Act.
You’ll review and verify certified payroll records, fringe benefit statements, apprenticeship documentation, and training contributions for accuracy and compliance.
You’ll ensure timely and accurate submission of certified payroll through required systems (e.g., DIR-mandated platforms and LCP-certified software) and monitor required compliance documents such as DAS 140s, DAS 142s, and related forms, addressing contractor deficiencies as needed.
You’ll provide functional guidance, mentorship, and quality review for Senior Labor Compliance Associates and other compliance staff, without direct responsibility for department-wide staffing decisions.
You’ll perform secondary reviews of audits, underpayment calculations, penalties, and corrective actions prior to escalation to the Director of Labor Compliance.
You’ll support investigations into labor compliance complaints—including prevailing wage, benefit, and apprenticeship violations—and assist in compiling complete case documentation.
You’ll serve as a primary point of contact for contractors regarding compliance questions, corrective actions, and document deficiencies.
You’ll participate in pre-bid meetings, pre-construction conferences, and project meetings to explain labor compliance obligations and expectations, and coordinate with internal teams (payroll, project management, legal, and document control) to ensure consistent compliance practices.
You’ll prepare and review monthly labor compliance reports for accuracy prior to submission to Project Managers, Clients, or the Director of Labor Compliance, and escalate high-risk issues, repeat violations, or complex regulatory interpretations as needed.
You’ll maintain organized and auditable digital and hardcopy compliance records, perform field interviews, and other duties as assigned.
