The Finance Clerk works under the supervision of the Director Health Services or Designate and is responsible for performing a variety of financial administrative tasks and other duties that relate to keeping accounts in the financial management of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
The incumbent exercises the appropriate level of initiative and independent judgment in determining work priorities, work methods to be employed and action to be taken on unusual matters.
The position functions in a manner that is consistent with the mission, vision and values; and the policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.
Requirements
1 years recent experience working in a financial or business environment.
Grade 12 education or equivalent.
Graduate of an accredited business administration program with a focus in accounting.
Knowledge of and proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications and Email.
Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good work and attendance record.
Requires a valid Class 5 driver’s license, an all-purpose insured vehicle and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.
