Role Overview
- Monitor compliance with key HIM indicators
- Oversee clerical, information release, and master patient index data integrity functions
- Collaborate with physicians and hospital staff to enhance documentation quality
- Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Develop, recommend, and oversee the implementation of policies and procedures
- Serve as The Joint Commission HIM Record of Care Chapter Leader
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree Required
- RHIA or RHIT Certification required
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a project-based operations performance improvement role within a hospital/clinical setting
- Minimum 1 year of experience managing major projects for large, complex healthcare organizations
- Clinical Documentation Improvement, Case Management and HIM/Coding experience required
- Willingness and ability to travel every week
