Create, implement and maintain design elements, specialized gameplay moments, and tools for the Level Design team on Project Delta.
Assign, delegate and support individuals in their tasks, monitoring and reviewing the progress of their work.
Provide constructive feedback and clear communication to improve objective gameplay within levels, streamline integration workload, and ensure a continuous improvement approach.
Take responsibility for evaluating direct reports during periodic performance reviews, providing valuable input for their career development.
Foster an engaging team atmosphere and ensure a healthy work–life balance by setting clear expectations and defining scope of work.
Use data such as pulse checks and satisfaction scores.
Collaborate and communicate effectively with other Leads, Directors, departments, and project stakeholders on an ongoing basis to build trust and drive toward project goals and ambitions.
Follow the Director's guidance/vision and implement it.
Contribute to the Director’s direction by providing key data, raising issues, seeking guidance, and relaying information to relevant project leads.
Provide mentoring, troubleshooting, debugging, and problem-solving support to members of the Level Design and Technical Level Design teams.
Work with production teams on task assignment and team scheduling.
Requirements
Typically 3+ years of experience, including experience shipping at least one AAA title on PC or console.
Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
Good presentation skills.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Strong understanding of game creation and development processes.
Experience with text-based and visual scripting systems.
Proficiency with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence).
Self-driven and motivated.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
Experience with multiple 3D engines (preferred).
Experience designing tools and workflows (preferred).
Generalist approach (preferred).
Scripting experience with Python, Lua (preferred).
Knowledge of Maya, 3ds Max, or similar 3D software (strongly preferred).
