Review monthly P&L and balance sheet reports; analyze and explain material variances.
Prepare and reconcile accounts; investigate discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance departmental efficiency and effectiveness.
Support the Finance team during month-end close and daily operations.
Post month-end journal entries, including accruals and intercompany charges.
Maintain the General Ledger in Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains.
Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures
Research and apply appropriate accounting treatments for various transactions under IFRS and ASPE.
Assist in audit preparation and collaborate with the Finance team during auditor visits.
Communicate procedural changes and address deficiencies promptly while fostering strong cross-functional relationships.
Participate in special projects and continuous improvement initiatives as assigned by management.

University degree required, preferably in Accounting
Minimum 2 years of experience in accounting or finance
Enrolment in a professional accounting designation program such as CPA is preferred
Strong account reconciliation skills
Advanced proficiency in Excel
Working knowledge of Great Plains Dynamics and MS Power BI is preferred
