Role Overview
- Manage, perform, coordinate, and/or monitor Steam Power site activities
- Perform on-site system and equipment installation, testing, preventive maintenance, repair and calibration, including both low voltage and high voltage (>600 volts) tasks
- Respond to requests for emergency repairs and services to troublesome equipment
- Provide technical instruction and assistance to customer representatives regarding installation, operation, calibration, repair and maintenance at customer’s sites
- Perform administrative functions such as: writing technical reports, ordering materials, securing quotations, preparing job status reports, reports to customers, time sheet and expense sheets on a complete timely, and thorough basis
- Knowledge to troubleshoot and provide routine maintenance check out for wide range of equipment vintage
- Ensure all parts needed for the job are shipped to the site
- Supervise critical tasks when these activities are performed by third parties
Requirements
- Technical/University degree in an Engineering Discipline from an accredited university or college OR (High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a Field Services role, OR 6+ years of experience in a field services or power generation equipment maintenance position)
- Experience using electrical test equipment including Megohmmeters, Hipot test sets, Digital Low Resistance Ohmmeters, and Multimeters
- Strong technical skill in reading and interpreting electrical/mechanical flow and instrument diagrams
- English proficiency required
