Identify gaps in our current systems, policies and strategies, and recommend enhancements and process improvements
Work to scope out, prioritize, coordinate, and launch the initiatives that are most critical to Stripe in support of minimizing credit losses while providing positive user experience
Create short-term and long-term project plans, including setting milestones, ensuring adherence to deadlines and efficiently allocating resources
Design and implement processes that help scale our risk management practices within Stripe and operate at pace
Facilitate decisions and actions, while making certain that ‘risk and reward’ trade offs are at the core of our decision-making process
Hold a broader viewpoint by balancing multiple perspectives across the team, understanding other initiatives that are running parallel and ensuring proper overlap and communication between projects
Requirements
5+ years of demonstrated experience in program management, strategy & operations or similar functions, driving complex and cross-functional initiatives (e.g. structuring programs, managing stakeholders, setting milestones, and executing at scale)
3+ years of experience in foundational risk management (e.g., credit, fraud, liquidity or market risk), treasury finance, or finance & strategy roles
Experience quickly building strong, collaborative relationships with partners across technical and non-technical functions, such as Strategy, Partnerships, Product, Operations, and Engineering
Critical and first principles thinking (e.g., ability to question how we are working rather than simply executing), and the ability to zoom out to the most important questions
Strong analytical skills and a rigorous, data-driven approach to problem-solving
Self-starter who can work independently and execute on complex projects with minimal guidance
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
