Support the development and enforcement of data governance policies, standards, and procedures tailored to healthcare and managed care operations
Monitor and improve data quality across Medicaid and Medicare datasets, identifying and resolving data integrity issues
Collaborate with data stewards, business analysts, and IT teams to define and maintain metadata, data lineage, and data classification
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations such as HIPAA, HEDIS, CMS guidelines, and state-specific Medicaid requirements
Conduct data audits and assessments to validate data accuracy and completeness for reporting and analytics
Facilitate data stewardship activities and promote best practices in data management across departments
Participate in governance committees and contribute to continuous improvement of data governance processes
Provide training and support to business users on data governance tools and practices
Perform any other duties as required to ensure Health Plan operations and department business needs are successful

Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management within the healthcare industry
Hands-on experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, or other managed care programs also required
Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview) is preferred
Experience in the areas of medical or health services preferred
Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position
