About this role
Role Overview
Leading the development, execution, and oversight of integrated program schedules and plans for defense programs
Providing strategic direction to planning teams
Ensuring alignment of project milestones, resources, and budgets with contractual requirements
Driving analysis of program performance, risks, and critical paths
Collaborating closely with Program Managers, engineering, production, finance, and subcontractors to resolve issues and support program objectives
Enforcing organizational policies and mentoring planning staff
Ensuring programs are delivered on time, within cost, and to technical requirements
Analyzing material and program reports to understand issues and create action plans
Overseeing day-to-day activities of planners and coordinators
Creating and maintaining special reports
Interfacing with production and engineering to resolve issues
Monitoring metrics and taking action as appropriate
Actively involved in program closure activities
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent experience considered
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in high-technology or manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles, tools, and lifecycle processes from NPI through obsolescence
Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills, including influencing, conflict resolution, and cross-functional collaboration
Experience with supplier management, risk mitigation, cost reduction, and performance improvement initiatives
Working knowledge of finance, contracting, manufacturing, logistics, and applicable regulations (DoD, ITAR, EAR, FAR/DFARS)
Demonstrated ability to manage complex programs, including manpower planning, schedules, budgets, and program reviews
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and customer-facing communication skills
