The Network and Systems Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the organization's Network and Systems Infrastructure.
Primary focus will be the network infrastructure while providing backup and additional assistance to the systems engineer as needed.
Ensure network availability, performance, and security by proactively monitoring, maintaining, and improving core network services.
Provide support of systems through troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software, and connectivity problems.
Perform Active Directory administration tasks (ex: user/group, security permissions, group policies).
Patch, install and config application software, virtual environment and server/host devices.
Utilize scripting and other automation tools to eliminate manual tasks where possible.
Provide Tier 2/3 escalation support for network and system-related issues.
Assist the help desk and other teams with troubleshooting to identify root cause, and provide technical support when needed.
Maintain regular system backups and disaster recovery readiness for critical infrastructure.
Recommend and implement network and system improvements to align with organizational goals.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; or equivalent experience.
3+ years of experience in network administration within a medium-sized or multi-site organization.
2+ years of experience in systems administration within a medium-sized or multi-site organization
Hands-on experience with firewalls, switches, routers, VPN technologies, and network monitoring tools.
Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and VPNs required.
Experience with Microsoft server, Microsoft 365, Windows Active Directory, and PowerShell required
