Manager, Digital Sales

Role Overview

• Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets through the development and continual evaluation of sales strategies that effectively leverage the company’s established distribution channels and product solutions
• Provide accurate visibility of forecasted revenue on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
• Provide leadership guidance to swiftly shift sales strategies as necessary to correct forecast variances to revenue targets
• Coach and develop the assigned industry/product sales teams, with a focus on evolving best-in
• class selling proficiencies
• Act as the leadership advocate for assigned team to ensure that sales strategies are well communicated and supported internally
• Ensure tactical support so the sales vision is executed effectively within the organization through cross functional alignment with all departments
• Identify new market segments that can be pursued across distribution channels
• Maintain existing, and develop positive new, relationships with key customers, partners and industry leaders
• Identify emerging market opportunities and new go to market strategies
• Partner with Marketing to continuously update the overall marketing plan, including messaging for all stakeholders
• Manage individual HR issues, reviews and compensation plans
• Manage staffing requirements including candidate review, interviewing and hiring process
• Engage in development of team members to ensure they form a foundation of knowledge and practices that will allow them to advance in their career
• Comply with all corporate and departmental privacy and data security policies and practices, including but not limited to, Hyland’s Information Systems Security Policy

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or significant related experience
• Minimum of 7 years progressively responsible experience in Sales related functions with a B2B software company or SAAS preferred
• Must possess strong leadership and communication skills as well as sound business judgment
• Previous management experience is required
• Excellent communicator with proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas and data in written, presentation and spoken formats to a variety of audiences including executive management
• Experience in enterprise direct software sales with demonstrated success leveraging a sales methodology across a team of sellers
• Experience in hiring and building sales teams and developing strong sales acumen
• Proven track record for meeting/exceeding sales objectives in a software development company
• A solid understanding of the software industry within assigned markets
• Successful history in negotiating and contracting with key customers and partners
• Successful experience in structuring sales quotas, compensation plans, and incentive programs
• Demonstrated success in a very fast paced collaborative environment.
