Seasonal Interpreter

Role Overview

• Provide high quality interpretive and visitor services to the general public
• Present scheduled interpretive programs such as films and demonstrations
• Lead guided tours
• Deliver education programs and children’s activities
• Plan and deliver children’s science day camps
• Provide general oil sands information to visitors
• Answer visitor questions
• Collect admission fees and visitor statistics

Requirements

• High School Diploma or greater
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Confident, creative presentation skills and/or desire to acquire skills in a supportive setting
• Experience providing high-quality customer service to the general public
• Experience working with children ages 4-12 in an organized program setting
• Ability to work within a small team environment
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to work weekends and occasional evenings
• Basic computer skills
