Data Governance Analyst

Role Overview

• The Data Governance Analyst plays a key role in advancing the organization's data governance framework, ensuring data quality, integrity, and compliance across all business units.
• This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to implement data standards, policies, and procedures that enhance data management and decision-making capabilities.
• Commitment to Quality: The IEHP Team is committed to incorporate IEHP’s Quality Program goals including, but not limited to, HEDIS, CAHPS, and NCQA Accreditation.

Requirements

• Minimum of four (4) years of experience in data governance, data quality, or data management within the healthcare industry
• Hands-on experience working with Medicaid, Medicare, or other managed care programs also required
• Experience with data governance tools (e.g., Collibra, Informatica, Alation, Azure Purview) is preferred.
• Experience in the areas of medical or health services preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
• In lieu of the required degree, a minimum of four (4) years of additional relevant work experience is required for this position. This experience is in addition to the minimum years listed in the Experience Requirements above.
• Strong understanding of data governance principles and healthcare data management best practices
• Knowledge of data modeling, metadata management, and master data management concepts
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards (e.g., HL7, ICD-10, CPT) and regulatory frameworks (e.g., HIPAA, CMS)
• Strong analysis and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in data profiling, data quality assessment, and root cause analysis
• Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is required
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining careful attention-to-detail
• Ability to handle multiple projects, data input, and strong problem-solving capability
• Independent self-starter who is driven to success, takes great pride in accomplishments and works with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines and address competing priorities
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
