About this role
Role Overview
- Serve as a liaison between data engineers, data stewards, product owners, and other IT teams.
- Interpret results using a variety of techniques.
- Uses statistical methods and techniques to identify patterns, trends, correlations, and anomalies.
- Identifies KPIs and develops metrics to track and measure product performance.
- Identify, communicate, and assist with the efforts to resolve data gaps.
- Gain domain knowledge in relevant business areas, data acquisition principles/sources, technical options/limitations.
- Collaborate across business and technical teams to create deliverables such as Technical Requirements, Functional Requirements, User Stories and User Acceptance Tests.
- Evaluate proposed solutions to ensure alignment with business needs and functional requirements.
- Assist test plan creation and user acceptance testing to validate delivered solution meets business expectations.
- Ensure quality through adherence to processes and procedures.
- Provide support to other business/data analysts, business process owners and project managers.
- Manage a small team of other data analysts to drive business outcomes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as Business Analyst/Data Analyst in an Analytics environment.
- 4 yr. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or another quantitative field preferred.
- 2 years of Team Leadership experience and history of supporting entry level associates.
- Advanced SQL skills and understanding of data analysis tools and techniques is required, Python skills a plus.
- Expert knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and concepts.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex datasets and generate meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data findings to both technical and business partners.
- Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology.
- Well versed with in utilizing tools such MS Excel, MS Word, Google Suite, MS Visio, Lucid Chart, JIRA, Confluence.
