About this role
Role Overview
Establish emerging market presence and distribution channels to sell new products and solutions via consulting partnerships
Identify, pursue, and close new employer sales opportunities within assigned markets and industry segments
Execute outreach strategies to generate qualified leads and strengthen the employer sales pipeline
Participate in RFP responses, finalist presentations, and contract negotiations
Build and maintain relationships with key consulting and brokerage firms to drive awareness and advocacy for the company’s offerings
Serve as a resource for consultants by providing education on product capabilities, differentiators, and market positioning
Coordinate with internal marketing and leadership teams to support joint events, webinars, and partnership opportunities
Engage directly with employer HR and benefits leaders to assess their needs and propose tailored pharmacy and benefits solutions
Collaborate cross-functionally with internal implementation, product, and operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and client satisfaction
Support strategic renewal and expansion discussions as assigned
Maintain a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory changes, and competitive dynamics within pharmacy and employee benefits
Represent the organization at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to elevate brand presence and credibility
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree required, but advanced degree preferred
minimum of 15 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree, or 12 years and a Master’s degree
15+ years of B2B sales or account management experience, preferably within healthcare, pharmacy benefits, or employee benefits industries
Proven ability to develop relationships with employer decision-makers and benefits consultants
Strong understanding of pharmacy benefits, claims processing, and employee benefits administration
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Consultative selling approach with the ability to tailor solutions to employer needs
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Proficiency with CRM systems and data-driven sales tools
