Ensure individual plant teams are executing expected actions to meet corporate objectives
Manages assigned plant FS-Q managers, and interacts with operations, R&D, and other relevant teams to implement the company’s strategic plan that encompasses all aspects of food safety and quality.
Coaches plant FS-Q managers to ensure they perform according with strategic and the tactical/milestones necessary to achieve operational goals.
Ensures facilities are audit ready all of the time (third party, customer, regulatory, etc.)
Manages key customer QA relationships in conjunction with sales personnel.
Support and coach Plant FS-Q Managers for administering the department’s budget to ensure proper allocation of resources.
Assess and manages plant resources to ensure the QA and Food Safety KPI goals are achieved for the manufacturing plants under its purview.
Requirements
B.S. Biology, Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering, etc.
Valid Driver’s License
Minimum of five (5) years of management experience including Quality Management Systems and/or Manufacturing experience.
Prefer experience in a tortilla production environment.
Strong background in sanitation principles and practices, GFSI approved schemes (SQF, BRC), HACCP, GMPs, Safety and SPC.
Must be proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
