Process regular and off-cycle US and Canada payroll, including collecting payroll inputs and calculating payroll to ensure timely payment to employees
Ensure all payroll transactions comply with internal policies and procedures, as well as government regulations, including timely tax payments and document filing
Provide support to team members when needed by acting as a backup and participating in knowledge sharing
Keep process documentation up to date and suggest improvements to promote efficiency and systems optimization
Deliver exceptional support to employees and stakeholders, resolving tickets and requests promptly and ensuring regular communication
Collaborate with other departments to support payroll-related projects and initiatives
Requirements
University degree in finance, accounting, management, or equivalent professional payroll training/coursework
2+ years of payroll processing experience
Understanding of payroll tax laws and regulations across various jurisdictions
Knowledge of accounting principles and practices related to payroll
Competence in auditing payroll records and reports for accuracy and compliance
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience in managing the execution of defined actions and monitoring completion with multiple stakeholders
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
