Responsible for leading industrial design (ID) for assigned ID programs, which may include new product introduction (NPI), lifecycle management (LCM), hardware, software, GUI, consumables, and other programs.
Leads and helps foster implementation of best practices in ID for the group, which may include customer-centricity, focus groups, rapid prototyping, outside experts, and other tools and techniques.
Serves as an SME for ID, which may include technical aspects such as human factors, functionality, GUI, brand identity, manufacturability, reliability, workflow, application expertise, among others.
Independently executes, and/or directs others in the execution of the design of products by applying traditional and novel engineering theories, concepts, and techniques within the associated disciplines.
Communicates within R&D and across functions and disciplines, in partnership with program PMO and technical lead.
Requirements
A Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Design, engineering, science, or related discipline is desired.
A post-graduate education/degree/training is desired and may contribute towards the desired years of experience.
Technical experience plus demonstrated competence, with a desired 8+ years of significant design, engineering, and/or operational experience
