Administer registered plans and process requests such as deregistrations, de-registrations, de-allocations, specialized withdrawals, etc.
Ensure that enrollments, contributions and withdrawals meet the regulatory deadlines specific to RESP (REEE), RRSP (REER), TFSA (CELI), RRIF (FRR), FHSA (CELIAPP), etc.
Review, process and settle all registered plan requests within the timeframes prescribed by service level agreements and escalate any issues that require management review and intervention.
Conduct registered plan audits with OCRI within internal and regulatory deadlines.
Work closely with the tax, estates, transfers, new accounts and account management teams to implement any necessary registered plan updates.
Actively participate in registered plan committee meetings to ensure fiduciary and regulatory changes are applied in procedures and manuals and kept up to date.
Monitor regulatory developments at the CRA, Revenu Québec, Employment and Social Development Canada and trustee regulations by consulting legislation, press releases and relevant industry bulletins.
