Administer registered plans and process requests such as plan terminations, de-registrations, special withdrawals, etc.
Ensure enrollments, contributions and withdrawals comply with the regulatory deadlines specific to RESP, RRSP, TFSA, RRIF, FHSA (CELIAPP), etc.
Review, process and resolve all registered plan requests within the timeframes prescribed by service level agreements and escalate any issues that require management review and intervention.
Conduct registered plan audits with the OCRI within internal and regulatory deadlines.
Work closely with the tax, estates, transfers, new accounts and client account management teams on any updates required for registered plans.
Actively participate in registered plan committee meetings so fiduciary and regulatory changes are implemented in procedures and manuals, which must be kept up to date.
Monitor developments in CRA, Revenu Québec, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) and trustee regulation by consulting legislation, press releases and relevant industry bulletins.
