Own end-to-end compliance delivery across triage, prioritisation, monitoring, assurance, and quality control including the Compliance Plan, issues and breaches governance, and audit-ready artefacts
Provide regulatory interpretation and pragmatic compliance advice across consumer credit (NCCPA), financial services obligations, licensing (AFSL, ACL, AER, AEMO), and regulatory change
Embed compliance-by-design with Product, Tech, and Operations providing input and sign-off on products, distribution, DDO, and marketing activity
Own conduct risk as a distinct compliance domain identifying risk indicators, escalating concerns, and partnering with the business to embed fair customer outcomes into BAU
Design and deliver a risk-based compliance training program that is practical, measurable, and continuously improved using AI
Own the conflicts of interest, gifts and entertainment, and whistleblower frameworks maintaining registers, policies, and managing disclosures in accordance with legislative obligations
Maintain Brighte's anti-bribery, corruption, and sanctions frameworks — ensuring obligations are understood, controls are embedded, and monitoring is in place in partnership with AML/CTF
Requirements
4+ years' compliance experience in regulated financial services, credit, or fintech with a proven track record translating complex regulation into operational controls and evidence
Strong working knowledge across NCCPA, Corporations Act, ASIC ACL, AML/CTF, Privacy, conduct risk, DDO, ABC, and sanctions obligations relevant to Australian financial services
Hands-on monitoring, assurance, and documentation experience with demonstrated capability owning compliance domains including conduct risk, conflicts of interest, whistleblower, and sanctions
Demonstrated use of AI tools to automate, streamline, or uplift compliance functions for policy drafting, obligations management, monitoring, or reporting
Familiarity with compliance management platforms, regtech tools, and GRC software; professional certifications (ICA, CCRP, CAMS) highly regarded
Exceptional written and verbal communication with the ability to produce clear, decision-quality outputs and influence stakeholders confidently without direct reports
Commercial, solutions-focused, and highly organised and comfortable operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment with genuine enthusiasm for AI as a tool for doing compliance work better
