Role Overview
- Oversee the case management of all children admitted for Day Health Center-Based Services.
- Ensure the safe delivery of services aligned with PHSs mission and standards.
- Establish strong relationships with physicians, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Manage staffing patterns to meet clinical needs.
- Assume the Acting Administrator role in the absence of the Center Administrator.
- Assist in administrative duties and case management.
- Coordinate daily clinical activities and respond to emergency situations.
- Manage staff schedules and ensure compliance with documentation requirements.
- Collaborate with admissions for effective patient management.
- Develop comprehensive care plans and coordinate services with other providers.
- Lead family education initiatives to enhance care confidence.
- Participate in staff training and development programs.
- Monitor quality assurance and improvement processes.
- Help manage the centers budget and operational reports.
- Engage in on-call rotations and clinical evaluations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current Texas RN license required.
- Bachelors Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year in nursing management and leadership.
- CPR certification required; PALS certification preferred.
- Experience in pediatrics, especially with medically fragile children, is essential.
- Strong communication skills and knowledge of community resources.
