Oversees daily store operations to achieve or surpass sales and margin goals
Promotes sales and delivers excellent customer service
Manages inventory levels and controls expenses through purchase monitoring
Ensures facility and staff adherence to safety and regulatory standards
Guides team members in providing efficient customer service and maintaining good housekeeping
Optimizes overall operational efficiency
Provides professional customer service for all internal and external customers
Supports the outside sales team in maintaining existing client relationships and securing new business
Ensures accurate and timely daily processing of financial transactions
Maintains the accuracy of back order, open order, and Purchase Order (PO) expedite reports
Manages and establishes appropriate cylinder and hard goods inventory levels for the branch
Supervises and conducts training for inside sales associates on product knowledge and company policies
Conducts periodic performance reviews for branch associates
Acts as a liaison between employees and management, offering performance guidance
Requirements
At least two (2) years of experience in a managerial capacity, preferably in a similar industry (retail industrial sales)
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Strong organizational skills and detail-orientation, with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to promote a team player attitude and effectively work with a diverse group of people with different personalities and backgrounds
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the sales and distribution of industrial gases, welding supplies, or similar industrial products (preferred)
Strong retail sales and customer service skills (preferred)
Knowledge of welding applications and equipment (preferred)
