Provide strategic leadership for automation projects impacting various locations in the North America Supply Chain.
Partner with team members and work closely with vendors and suppliers.
Define on-machine automation strategy and lead implementation of Automation solutions for key supply chain areas in distribution, manufacturing, and on-machine solutions.
Carry out job responsibilities safely and set an example for others in safety matters.
Develop equipment and processes meeting safety codes, policies, and guidelines.
Support the development and execution of the NA SC automation strategy.
Collaborate with Mill, Staff, Vendors, Contractors, and other KCNA/Global facilities in developing and rolling out Automation solutions for production challenges.
Lead design discussions with Mill and Central teams to review Scope and obtain alignment and feedback.
Requirements
Bachelor’s in engineering and 10+ years of related experience.
Expertise in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Engineering or Mechatronics with a demonstrated ability to translate that knowledge into execution of process and capacity improvements in capital or expense projects.
Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with individuals across all levels of the organization.
Ability and flexibility to work in a manufacturing environment with a 24/7 operation.
Flexibility to travel up to 25% as dictated by business need for meetings, machine install or start-up support, benchmarking, or best practice sharing across North America.
Familiarity with Tissue and Diaper manufacturing technologies or high-speed manufacturing, Automation technologies or experience with Automated Guided Vehicles, and robotic solutions are preferred.
15+ years of experience in a combination of engineering, operations, and/or leadership preferred.
Familiarity with Actioning process controls and Digital Twin technologies.
Familiarity with capital project management, equipment installations and start-ups.
