About this role
Role Overview
Support Newell Brands operational sustainability and resource conservation strategies
Identify opportunities to reduce manufacturing and distribution impacts globally
Develop and implement operations standards and processes in plants and DCs
Participate in a global supply chain community of practice to identify resource conservation projects
Conduct assessments to benchmark Newell’s Global Supply Chain sustainability programs against industry standards
Requirements
5+ years of relevant professional experience in operational sustainability or similar role in the consumer hard goods industry or consulting firm
Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred
Experience with evaluation and execution of on-site energy efficiency, compressed air, renewable energy, waste diversion and water conservation projects both in the US and internationally
Excellent grasp of sustainability concepts as well as emerging trends
Strong quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Demonstrates expertise in Microsoft Office suite applications
In-depth knowledge and experience using key performance indicator tracking tools for resource usage
Benefits
