Test complex opto-mechanical mechanisms and optical systems.
Support the alignment of optical components and subsystems.
Design opto-mechanical parts, mechanisms and assemblies with SolidWorks.
Geometric Tolerancing per ANSI/ASME Y14.5M.
Responsible for the mechanical specifications and planning related to electro-optical system design and testing.
Effectively communicate amongst cross discipline teams located in multiple sites.
Requirements
BS in Mechanical or Optical Engineering preferred.
At least 5 years of experience with the design, test and/or analysis of opto-mechanical parts and assemblies required.
Experience aligning or designing alignment tooling for Optical Systems required.
Designing with a solid modeling CAD program (SolidWorks and EPDM a plus).
Ability to apply principles, theories, and concepts within the mechanical engineering field and good knowledge of other related disciplines.
Demonstrated experience working within a multi-disciplinary team in a fast paced, technically challenging environment.
