Lead full-cycle software development projects from requirements gathering through deployment and acceptance
Design and architect solutions for complex housing management applications
Write high-quality, maintainable code while establishing standards for the team
Evaluate and integrate new technologies to modernize our product suite
Research HUD regulations and translate policy requirements into technical specifications
Create and manage project schedules, milestones, and deliverables
Mentor and coach Software Engineers I and II, fostering their technical growth
Direct cross-functional project teams and coordinate resources
Implement and improve QA procedures and development standards
Drive continuous improvement in team processes and productivity
Contribute creative ideas for product enhancements and new features
Identify opportunities to add value for housing authority clients
Stay current with industry trends and housing sector technology needs
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
5+ years of software development experience with strong coding background
Proficiency with FileMaker Pro (certification preferred but not required)
Experience with relational database design and architecture
Project management or team lead experience
Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies
Core: FileMaker Pro, FileMaker Go, SQL (MySQL)
Web Technologies: HTML, CSS, XML, PHP
Tools: Version control (Git), testing frameworks
Experience with system troubleshooting and debugging complex processes
Nice to Have: Experience with CI/CD pipelines
Knowledge of housing industry regulations (HUD, Section 8, public housing)
API design and integration experience
Soft Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
