Responsible for the development and implementation of a team strategy to meet assigned goals, mitigate risk and underwrite transactions
Maintains acceptable levels of credit quality consistent with bank's credit policies and guidelines
Responsible for maintaining a highly credible relationship between portfolio management and credit approval authorities
Develops robust portfolio analysis processes and data capture processes that manage risk
Identifies client needs within the portfolio and refers to middle market banking team for urgent execution to drive revenue growth
Coaches and mentors team members
Requirements
Minimum of 10 years of proven successful underwriting and documentation experience in commercial lending required
Bachelor's degree is required
Strong administrative and risk skills required
Previous formalized credit training preferred
Previous management experience is strongly preferred but not required for the right candidate that demonstrates the skills and aptitude to be successful leading others
Proven consistent and effective negotiation skills
Proficiency in written and verbal communication is required
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software programs required
Demonstrated success structuring complex credits: researching and presenting information verbally and in writing, and creating documentation to support the credit and minimize risk
Demonstrated leadership experience by having provided coaching, skill development, and feedback to team members
