The Associate Account Executive (AAE) position is a sales development role.
The position is designed to improve the knowledge and skill set of high potential individuals as it relates to cataract device sales with the goal of moving into a sales role in the Commercial Sales organization.
The AAE will be assigned to a district and work closely with a Senior or Principal Account Executive.
The AAE will also cover vacant territories within the region as needed and may be called upon to cover vacant territories in another region based on business needs.
Provide technical product knowledge and in-service support to ensure customer satisfaction.
Manage a budget for travel and expenses as well as for the territory.
Demonstrate an independent, creative, and consultative/value-based sales approach to selling Intraocular Lens (IOLs), Phaco equipment, viscoelastics and surgical adjuncts.
Prepare and provide detailed sales/procedural/financial presentations to new and existing customers.
Requirements
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university
One to three years of any sales experience or three to five years med tech professional experience
Required to meet all grade requirements in all steps of the program
A valid driver's license in one of the 50 United States is required
The ability to work as part of sales team and support company goals and sales objectives is required
Relocation within the region after STEP graduation and determined by business need
The ability to travel (up to 75%) which may include overnight / weekend travel is required
Surgical O.R. or ophthalmic industry experience is a plus
