Environmental due diligence, regulatory compliance services, and permitting
Evaluate brownfields and other contaminated sites and develop risk-based corrective action measures, remediation approaches, feasibility studies, removal action work plans, and remediation design plans
Implement remedial pilot tests and systems, including vendor selection, logistical coordination, permitting, and supervision of field teams
Task and project management, including planning and implementing investigation and remediation projects, design and implementation, trouble shooting and optimization of remediation engineering projects, budgeting and budget management, adherence to schedule, quality, client satisfaction, and profitability
Management and mentoring of junior staff and managing subcontractors
Work plan development, data evaluation, and report writing
Prepare technical reports, letters, memoranda, plans, specifications, and proposals
Agency coordination with federal, state and local regulatory agencies
Data analysis, including preparing maps, tables, and figures
Review and manage written document production
Prepare for and participate in meetings with clients, regulatory personnel, and other parties
Business development; including bringing in new clients and obtaining repeat business from existing clients, leading proposal preparation, and developing and implementing a business development plan
At times, job may also include fieldwork including multi-media environmental sampling, sediment sampling and characterization, drilling oversight, contractor oversight, and remediation system operations, maintenance, and construction
Drive personal, company, and rental vehicles to client or company project or office sites, and other business locations, as needed
Requirements
At least 8 years of direct environmental consulting experience
Experience with multi-disciplinary project teams
Demonstrated success in the development and management of clients
Proven leadership skills
Willingness to learn and succeed in business development
Ability to succeed in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments, meeting strict deadlines, and traveling to client facilities as needed
Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers
Regular field work and overnight travel
Valid U.S. driver’s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel
