About this role
Role Overview
Support the execution of the company’s SOX program with a focus on IT General Controls (ITGCs).
Perform walkthroughs with IT and system owners to identify key controls and document them in risk-control matrices.
Design and update IT process narratives, flowcharts, and test plans to reflect current practices.
Execute ITGC and application control testing in accordance with PCAOB and external auditor standards.
Track and validate remediation efforts for IT control deficiencies, ensuring timely resolution.
Assist in annual SOX scoping and IT risk assessment activities.
Assist in new system implementations, upgrades, or significant IT changes for impact on SOX controls.
Partner with IT, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure consistent IT control execution and awareness.
Support internal and external audit requests, providing clear and accurate IT documentation.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Accounting, or related field.
CISA, CISM, or CISSP certification preferred.
1–3+ years of experience in SOX IT compliance, IT audit, or IT risk management at a public company.
Experience with key ITGC areas (access management, change management, IT operations).
Familiarity with ERP systems (Sage X3), cloud environments, and automated control testing highly preferred.
Excellent documentation, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work cross-functionally, influence stakeholders, and communicate effectively.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
Solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite, Outlook, Slack, and other professional platforms.
Up to 10% travel required: Although this role is a remote work-from-home position, we “Farmers” do meet as a company and/or as a department a few times a year. Anticipate possible travel up to a few times each quarter.
