Role Overview
- Perform general ledger accounting activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Support month-end close processes and preparation of financial reports
- Assist with internal control compliance and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements
- Analyze financial data, identify issues, and perform root cause analysis
- Develop and maintain Excel-based tools to support reporting and data analysis.
Requirements
- 4-year B.S. Accounting/Finance; will consider other relevant degrees
- Computer Skills – Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and other Office Products
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Accounting experience in a manufacturing company (preferred)
- 2 or more years of steel industry experience (preferred)
- Oracle, EIS or GL Connect Experience (preferred)
