About this role
Role Overview
Responsible for the category management, sourcing strategy and supplier management of assigned categories and spend
Support the Global Category Lead – HR and Professional Services to achieve best practices in procurement, supplier management, stakeholder engagement and drive necessary changes to improve overall efficiency and performance
Develop and maintain global category strategies for professional services procurement
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and procurement peers to run sourcing projects and ensure active management of contracts
Achieve cost reduction targets and secure timely involvement of procurement
Identify, evaluate, and manage relationships with key suppliers
Lead contract negotiation with suppliers
Conduct market research and analysis to stay informed about industry trends
Develop relationships and work closely with procurement peers as well as internal stakeholders
Independently lead projects by guiding and directing project stakeholders
Implement standards and optimize processes in assigned areas
Identify and mitigate risks associated with categories and agreements
Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness of category strategies
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Procurement, Law, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
8-10 years of experience in Hr and Professional Services procurement or category management, preferably in a global or multinational organization
Demonstrated expertise in procurement category management, supplier relationship management, commercial negotiations, and the strategic sourcing process
In-depth understanding of corporate services, market dynamics, and supplier landscape
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing challenges
Strong project management skills with proven capabilities in managing complex initiatives while effectively influencing stakeholders at all levels and across different cultures.
Ability to gather and interpret data, build reports and information, ultimately being able to generate actionable insights
Proficiency in procurement software and tools and understanding of contract law, preference for experiential knowledge of various types of contracts
