Role Overview
- Initiate own technical programs and recommend to management based on customer needs
- Apply technical experience to resolve complex problems
- Develop solutions influencing technical direction across the department
- Communicate results verbally and in manuscript form
- Mentor and train junior criticality safety engineers
Requirements
- US Citizenship Required
- PhD degree and about 15 years experience, MS degree and 17 years experience, BS degree and about 21 years experience
- Minimum of 25 years of recent experience in the nuclear/criticality safety industry
- Previous experience with 10 CFR 830, DOE O 420.1C
- Must demonstrate personal accountability for facility/project schedules, deadlines, budgets, and the safe performance of work
- Proficiency in using a criticality safety code (MCNP or SCALE)
