Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure with a focus on Cisco routing and switching platforms.
Support data center networking initiatives including opportunities to learn and advance into Cisco ACI architectures.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize network performance across LAN, WAN, WLAN, and data center environments.
Implement and maintain network security controls such as firewalls, VPNs, segmentation, ACLs, and identity-based policies.
Assist with the development of standardized configurations, network templates, and deployment methodologies to ensure consistency and scalability.
Collaborate with systems, security, and operations teams to integrate networking solutions in a cohesive enterprise environment.
Participate in network incident response, root cause analysis, and service restoration activities.
Maintain documentation for network designs, diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures.
Stay current with emerging Cisco technologies and industry best practices, especially in data center and SDN domains.
Support compliance with organizational standards, regulatory requirements, and security frameworks, including those relevant to Navy and DoD environments.
Requirements
Must have an active DoW Secret Clearance.
8 or more years of hands-on experience as a network engineer in an enterprise environment.
Strong proficiency with Cisco routing and switching technologies including Catalyst, Nexus, IOS, and IOS XE.
Solid understanding of core networking concepts such as TCP IP, OSPF, STP, VLANs, Inter-VRF routing, multicast, and network segmentation.
