Senior National Accounts Underwriting Consultant

Role Overview

• Evaluate, price, propose rate and strategy to acquire and renew National Account clients
• In-depth risk assessment and pricing of prospective and inforce customers
• Provide Customer reporting and analytics
• Partner with sales, national accounts practice leader and home office subject matter experts to develop comprehensive pricing and solutions
• Recommend changes in policies and procedures to be more responsive to the emerging client and market needs
• Proactively manage inforce block of business to maintain profit and persistency expectations
• Mentoring and underwriter development

Requirements

• Require a minimum of 7+ years of group underwriting experience
• Highly skilled in both written and verbal communications
• Ability to work in a fast paced environment
• Proficient PC skills, including Excel skills, and word processing applications
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills
• In-depth understanding of industry contractual language and provisions
