About this role

Provide in-depth knowledge and guidance on general accounting principles and practices
Ensure compliance with GAAP
Oversee the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions
Lead month-end / quarter-end and year-end close processes
Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining accounting policies and procedures
Provide training and mentorship to accounting staff on general accounting principles and practices
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations
Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent knowledge or experience
Professional certification (e.g., CPA, CMA) preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in general accounting, with a focus on complex accounting principles and practices
Proven experience in financial transaction processing and policy development
Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
Proficient in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
