Design and model complex plumbing or piping systems based on provided specifications
Ensure all associated drawings, calculations, and material lists are accurate and complete
Collaborate with project teams to coordinate comprehensive systems that vary in size and scope
Operate independently in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines and ensure quality
Requirements
Either an Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Design, Civil Engineering, Computer-Aided Drafting/Design, or a related field
Proficiency in recent versions of software, including Revit, Navisworks and Autodesk Construction Cloud
Equivalent field experience such as managing large commercial or industrial construction projects that involve fabrication and coordination responsibilities
Strong understanding of building construction
Ability to read blueprints
Solid math and problem-solving skills
Manage design schedules and lead coordination efforts
For plumbing designers, a working knowledge of Wisconsin Plumbing Code is necessary
For piping designers, experience with steam and hydronic systems is required.
