The Co-Op performs technical activities on assigned projects under supervision of a Licensed Professional Engineer and/or a Mechanical Designer EIT.
Participation in technical studies, investigations, and designs on assigned projects.
Assists in the production of projects that are on-time, within budget and the utmost quality.
Performs evaluations and system calculations including load calculations, ventilation schedules, etc., and contributes to the final project client proposal.
Conducts site surveys to determine existing facility conditions with a staff/project manager.
Accompanies staff/project manager in performing project job site visits during construction to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications, owner expectations, and building codes.
Assist in preparing punch lists and project observation reports to note findings.
Requirements
Must be a student at an accredited University pursuing a major in engineering.
Requires the student to work through the University's Cooperative Education program or similar program if the University has a Co-Op program.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Detail oriented and willing to tackle various ongoing projects in a fast paced environment.
Well versed in the industry and the Company's competitors.
Excellent multitasking skills, with the ability to perform duties outside of scope of work when necessary.
