Test planning and coordination for Total Vehicle Evaluation led development activities like Prototype evaluations and Ride and Drive evaluations.
Manage testing priorities with various teams and coordinate vehicle test usage between teams.
Coordinate seasonal testing vehicle usage including Summer and Winter testing.
Evaluate the total performance (Powertrain, Ride & Handling, NVH, Brakes, ADAS, Human Factors, etc.) of Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis development vehicles.
Perform subjective vehicle evaluations, identify potential customer complaint issues, investigate problem root causes, and recommend potential countermeasures.
Organize and execute benchmarking activities on competitive vehicles.
Track the development status of Hyundai, Genesis, and Kia vehicle projects.
Summarize media reviews and customer feedback of Hyundai, Kia and Genesis vehicles.
Manage the entire test vehicle fleet including competitors vehicles throughout the whole vehicle lifecycle, consisting of vehicle check-in/purchase, documentation, tracking, and disposal.
Coordinate test vehicle access requests from other HATCI Teams, and vehicle loan requests from affiliates.
Interface regularly with Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis affiliates in North America.
Support vehicle testing activities at the Hyundai California Proving Ground.
Support other technical groups as needed.
Create and present clear & concise project status and technical reports.
Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field of study
3 ~ 7 year of relevant engineering experience in the automotive industry
General understanding of vehicle dynamics, human factors, NVH, braking, and powertrain systems
Proficiency in planning, executing, and monitoring projects
Proficiency with MS Office
Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
Work in a team environment as well as independently
