Guidewire Developer

Role Overview

• Work on sprint stories in 2-week sprints
• Use Agile framework for development
• Code in Gosu using Guidewire Studio
• Implement changes including batches, UI changes, message queues, web service integrations
• Support testing stories and execute testing plans
• Present code and stories to developers and stakeholders
• Collaborate with development team and product owners during sprint reviews

Requirements

• Experience in a production environment
• On-call availability
• Triage tickets and troubleshoot issues
• Previous experience with Agile teams
• Participate in daily standup meetings
• Prior experience with Guidewire (PolicyCenter and BillingCenter preferred)
• Extensive experience with Java, Javascript, SQL, Gosu, IntelliJ, and Studio
• Able to use Mulesoft for API building
• Experience with React or Node.js for digital apps
• Understanding of Postman, SOAP, and REST
• Comfortable presenting in front of groups
• Ability to clarify complex technical concepts
