Supervise daily work of DCO Systems Technicians and ensure tasks follow established procedures
Plan, assign, and monitor preventive and corrective maintenance activities
Coordinate vendor-supported maintenance and verify work completion
Review and validate maintenance documentation and compliance records
Support client equipment installations to ensure compliance with Switch standards and AUP
Manage customer access and maintenance requests through completion
Participate in CAB processes, including ticket creation and schedule coordination
Use CMMS and asset management systems to track maintenance, system status, and requisitions
Support incident response, including P3 event creation and escalation coordination
Provide direct performance feedback and coach technicians on skill development
Support hiring coordination and onboarding of new team members
Enforce Switch safety policies and OSHA requirements
Identify and implement process improvements that reduce risk and improve efficiency
Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent
7+ years of experience in data center operations, facilities, electrical, or mechanical environments
5+ years of experience leading or mentoring technicians in an operational setting
Working knowledge of data center critical infrastructure systems including UPS, generators, switchgear, ATS/STS, PDU/RPP, cooling systems, and fire suppression
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Experience using CMMS or similar maintenance tracking systems
Familiarity with OSHA safety standards
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally
Ability to work extended hours when required in a 24/7/365 environment
Preferred OSHA 30 certification
Bachelors degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical training
Prior experience in a mission-critical data center environment
