About this role
Role Overview
Own and nurture the customer relationship in a team based selling model.
Educate customers on ordering platforms and provide menu consultations, product recommendations and pricing strategies to help customers succeed.
Your success will be measured by selling to customers, increasing case growth, and acquiring new business.
Deliver impactful sales presentations and tailor your sales approach to individual customers.
Manage your time and territory effectively.
Work collaboratively with Specialists to assist with top penetration opportunities and new accounts.
Collaborate closely with marketing, supply chain and customer service for seamless product delivery.
Identify prospective customers utilizing market intelligence databases and business directories.
Manage deliveries to the routing schedule and troubleshoot any problems during the order process.
Stay informed about market conditions, product innovations, and competitors' offerings.
Requirements
1+ year of sales experience preferred.
HS Diploma or equivalent.
A valid driver’s license is required, and motor vehicle record must be in good standing.
Foodservice industry/culinary/restaurant management/hospitality experience preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation abilities.
Ability to build internal and external relationships and cold call to develop new business.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
A competitive spirit with a drive to exceed goals.
Problem solving ability / organization and negotiation skills.
Team up mentality to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
Tech-savviness – proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM tools like Salesforce is a plus.
Have the ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 75 lbs.
