About this role
Role Overview
Contributing to lighting design development from concept through construction, with opportunities to grow into a project leadership role
Performing lighting calculations, energy analysis, and photometric modeling
Producing and coordinating lighting drawings, details, and specifications
Developing renderings, diagrams, and presentation materials for internal and client-facing use
Coordinating work within the Mazzetti team and with other disciplines
Coordinating lighting scope with internal Mazzetti teams, as well as architectural, electrical, and engineering disciplines
Supporting sustainability goals, including energy efficiency, daylighting, and LEED-related efforts
Participating in construction-phase services, including submittal reviews and design intent support and site visits.
Managing assigned tasks, schedules, and deliverables.
Contributing to a diverse portfolio of projects including healthcare, hospitality, civic, commercial, and residential work
Integrating sustainable lighting strategies into all phases of design
Requirements
Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Architectural Engineering, Lighting Design, or related field
6-12 years of experience in the lighting design industry
Strong proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and/or other BIM platforms
Extensive experience with photometric modeling tools such as AGI32, LightStanza, DIALux, or similar
Demonstrated ability to translate design intent into technically sound, buildable solutions
Strong verbal and written communication skills, including coordination with multidisciplinary teams
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently on multiple projects
Commitment to sustainable, energy-efficient, and human-centered lighting design
