Own and improve the electrical design and lifecycle performance of arc-welding and plasma-cutting systems.
Provide technical support to production for robust, efficient builds.
Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Service, and New Product Development to develop specifications, perform analysis and validation.
Resolve production issues, document solutions, and train stakeholders.
Execute prototyping and lab testing to verify design changes, enhance reliability, and strengthen manufacturability and serviceability.
Troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues related to our products in a timely and efficient manner.
Track and resolve First Pass Yield (FPY) product related issues.
Utilize established Operations Continuous Improvement processes to surface and escalate non-design-related issues.
Requirements
Level II
Vocational training plus 3+ years of relevant experience -OR
GED plus 5+ years of relevant experience.
Level III
Vocational training plus 5+ years of relevant experience -OR
GED plus 7+ years of relevant experience -OR
Associates Degree in related field with no prior experience.
Experience in testing and problem solving preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred but not required.
Ability to handle constantly changing set of priorities.
Ability to read and interpret prints and schematics.
Basic knowledge of how to use digital multi-meters.
Knowledge of how to use oscilloscopes preferred but not required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and attention to details.
